Miliani

More work with the Polynesian type. Say what you want about weight, but I think she's pretty.

Dionysos Practice

Practice for a bigger piece. At least I know what colors to use.

Sunday, August 17, 2008

Minor Helios

Pretty fancy, Angelo. The promotion looks good on him. I still need to learn to color better.

Saturday, August 16, 2008

Rix and Gia

That's them. Holy crap. A piece I am close to being proud of.

Calliope Won't Say

David and Sarah

They look pretty good all grown up. This one was fun. A good 2-hour piece. Except for the proportions on David. Not quite right. Dammit.

Big Brother

Meet Kahaka. Eldest of 13. So *he's* to blame for Kol. I see how it is. I think if Cei goes south in gaming I may subject everyone to this guy. Oddly enough, I hear the name means 1. A supposed medicinal plant or 2. Disagreeable, unpleasant. Huh.

Whitefalls Brothers

Mikai and Takai. Now in color!

Canned Salmon

Are you shitting us?

All Better

It just goes to show that having good supplies makes all the difference. I like this one much better.

Dead Guys

Takai: "You know what I See? I See two dead guys. Dead guy. Dead guy. Don't make a Seer out of me, okay? Walk away now."

Toshka Hightree Whitefalls

He's still the hardest to draw, damn him.

Naia Hightree Whitefalls

Sicha Hightree Stonefire

This is one of my recent favorites.

Takai Hightree Stonefire

I think I'm getting the hang of this.

Old Things

This particular ethnicity is *WAY* harder than it looks. Need to improve my skill with browns, I guess. No, scratch that. I *know*. Oh well. We'll call this practice.

I was bored, okay!?

It doesn't have to make sense. If you find deeper meaning here, you need to put down the crackpipe and proceed to the nearest therapist.

Screaming for Three

The last thing David ever did.

BC Color

In case anyone ever wondered what Gwion looked like way back when: I gather this is what he looked like in 200 BC or so. Given the redheads I know? It's a bit disappointing.

Hermes

God of a lot of things. I like this picture. Really. For once. Something to be proud of? I may just be getting close.

Saturday, June 28, 2008

Matthew L. Vitae

Really, this is the first successful Matthew in three years. Colored one, anyhow. Dr. Matt. Still looks good. Note the arm.

Rix

Okay. Do over on Rix. Much better. This is actually what he looks like. I've been a little off lately. Loss will do that. Forgive me. But here he is: The Rix we are all slowly coming to know and love.

You better be blonde when I get back!!

This is Rix. He's really washed-out looking. I just can't seem to get the fair-haired right with this method. (You should see the Travis I royally screwed up!) Poor washed-out Rix. I swear the next one will be better!

Lexa Chase

This white thing is especially fun with the Chase kids. It's been a good long time since I drew Lexa anyway. I still want her hair!

At LAAAAST!

Did I mention I fuckin' hate that song? Well I do. So does Niecra. Obviously.

Apollo

Just a sketch. Happy Summer Solstice! (Late!)

Gorawen

Still getting the hang of this new coloring stuff. I had to break away from inking at some point, I suppose. I think I may actually like this one. Gorawen. Now with more hair and less snow!

Dulcinée de Vignolles

Her first time on paper. Note the new tattoo. Pretty sweet. I want one.

Hooray for Ony!

Sometimes the bitter comes up all it once. If that kind of thing makes you uncomfortable ... don't read this.
Did you know Ony is the worst person in the world? It's true. She, single-handedly, ruined a former friend's life. Yep. None of it was his fault. That's what happens when one tries to befriend someone who is, indeed, perfect in every way. How horrible she was to have tarnished his immaculate life! Imagine her awfulness!! She hopes he feels like a big man. After all, nothing says "real man" like holding a grudge against the mentally ill, and being sorry to have ever given her aid (and telling her so!). But Ony has repented her evil ways and has vowed to keep her unholy influence to herself. He sure told her! Thank God he was around to show her the light and punish her for being ill! And hooray for Ony for learning to take all the blame on herself and to stab the back of her hand with a fork under the table and just keep smiling!

Priesties

Angelo. In real color this time. Trying out new color method again. This one looks like it's supposed to. The scan was still a bit grainy. I am pleased with this one. Very. I seem to be able to get a better likeness this way.

I didn't feel like yesterday's Gwion did him justice. This one is much better. Again, utilizing the new coloring stuff. I think I may be getting the hang of this.

Gwion and Gorawen

Tried new coloring method. Damned scanner was set with a res. too high. New method works really well for tattoos. Hard to do with such a white-based character. Oh well. I like how she turned out. It looks better in a small format than it does up close.
Two of my favorite people.

Celestial Twins

Little Artemis and Apollo. Not fighting (for now). Being good. Being quiet. Be-ing-have.
I feel so-so about this one. The plain pencils were better.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

La Hire (again)

Done especially for the St. Joan of Arc Center in Albuquerque, NM. Had a lot of fun with it. But he's La Hire! That usually means fun ... by some definition or another.

Post 100

St. Joan. Not sure if I like it or not.
I've been doing a lot of writing lately. Won't post that here. There's still art, but a lot less and all in sketch form, so I don't bother to scan it. This is the only finished piece I've done in a long time.

The Greek Ideal

He'd make a nice statue. I'd put it in the garden. You know, all "out of the way" and stuff.

Blue Dress Color Layout

Really, only Charlotte could wear this well.

Courting the Laughing Sybil

She knows *exactly* what he's going to say.

Sunday, May 4, 2008

Stelios Angelo

Priest of Apollo. Kind of quiet. Very smart. Good taste. Settling in nicely.

Saturday, May 3, 2008

Warforged Cei

Not so bad. Took some looking at old Abraham Stryder, but I think it's all right.

Dinner Art

Twenty minutes. Back of a placecard. She really is adorable. Sweet new chair.

Он просто слушает

Didn't get to the shading of sheets, wall, pillows, or curtains. All were black ... or close enough. No, really. The only color in this picture would be the golden brown of the feathers on his chest.

Я мужчина любовь

Okay, so I didn't get to the huge leafless trees in his backyard or the overcast sky with occasional bird breaking up the monotony. I was ... uh ... distracted. He's good for that.

Thursday, April 24, 2008

Ponderous

How the rubber ducky got in the light fixture, Avi will never know.

Finished Product

That's me. Kind of. Close enough! This one will look much better in a black-themed office.

Happy Birthday Jenny!

You get the original when I get there. Hope you like it!

ASS-chow each day keeps the lawyer away!

There is a big difference between a 1st class restaurant and an armed-forces mess. Proof is in the unidentified bits in the something-loaf.

Things I Miss

I'm in a new D&D game. It's great. But I just can't seem to connect with the character. I sit there the whole time wishing I was playing Anheld again. Oh well.
